Greetings!
April’s NEW Chapter Meeting found us at the Automobile Gallery in Green Bay where about 35 NEW AITP members enjoyed beverages, a buffet dinner, a great presentation on Artificial Intelligence from Paul Hager of ITP and the opportunity to check out many classic cars and sit in a few, too! I believe everyone had an enjoyable meeting and evening!
The end of the month of May will initiate a brief summer hiatus to our NEW AITP chapter meetings with our last chapter meeting for the first half of 2017 being held on Wednesday, May 17th, at Anduzzi’s Sports Club in Kimberly. And as has been the tradition, this will be our Past Presidents Night, honoring our past presidents and history of the NEW AITP chapter. There is a rumor that I will be the MC again for a Past President spotlight! Please refer to the meeting announcement for further details and please register early so we can have an accurate headcount for the establishment. Also, if you have any content that you would like me to consider for the evening’s discussion, please contact me in advance via president@newaitp.org.
Now let’s be clear – NEW AITP is NOT taking a break this summer! We will have a networking social in June, the Sherry Anklam Memorial Golf Outing in July and possibly one or two family/member related events in July and August. The NEW BoD Directors will also meet in August and the Technology Hub 2017 Conference committee will have several meetings over the summer to prepare for the conference, which is happening on Thursday, September 28th. Please save the date and join us in Appleton for a day of education and networking @ “Technology Hub 2017: Pardon the Disruption”.
Participation from the NEW AITP membership in the Board of Directors, our committees, chapter meetings, events and activities is always welcome and strongly encouraged. With participation from our membership we will continue to have a chapter that strives to be “The Network that Supports You!” We are also looking for sponsors that will help offset the costs of these meetings and events and allow us to continue to strive toward our mission. If you would like to be a sponsor for an event or of the chapter, please contact the Sponsorship committee or any member of your NEW AITP Board.
CompTIA will be providing additional information this summer on AITP’s direction, so please check your email, our chapter website (newaitp.org) and the AITP website (aitp.org) regularly for further updates regarding the organization. And check those resources to stay informed on NEW AITP’s summer activities!
I hope to see all of you at the Past Presidents Night on May 17th and at our many events over the summer!
Be well and be safe!
— Jay Esty, NEW AITP President 2017 —
