We would like to introduce you to your 2016 Board of Directors for the Northeastern Wisconsin Chapter of AITP.
President: Jay Esty
Jay has been a member of AITP for over 13 years and has volunteered much of his time to the position of Region Director, also previously holding the roles of Secretary and most recently Vice President. He will be leading the Board in 2016 to some great new initiatives.
Vice President: Michael Solonika
Michael has been with NEW AITP for 4 years and has worked closely with our Student Chapters to provide support and mentoring to our younger generations. As Vice President, he will assist Jay Esty in his role while continuing to support the Student Chapters in a mentorship role.
Secretary: Derek Schauland
Derek has been involved with AITP for over 5 years, starting his Board term in the Student Relations role. He has since been the head of our Programs committee and will be taking on the role of Secretary, documenting our meetings throughout 2016.
Treasurer: Steve Gilsdorf
Steve will celebrate 21 years in AITP in 2016 and has spent the last number of years as the Treasurer of our chapter, maintaining our chapter finances and keeping all of our financial records on point. He also is the keeper of our chapter budget and will keep our board on track financially.
Past President: Maggie Beard
Maggie has been an involved member of AITP for 21 years and has just completed her third term as President of the NEW Chapter. She will use this experience to advise our 2016 President through his first term in the role. She will also head up our Past Presidents event for 2016.
Region Director: Eric Stacey
Eric is one of our newest members to sit on the board with only 1 year already under his belt. He has jumped right into the mix as our Region Director and liaison at our Region Board meetings, providing our chapter with information and support.
Membership Director: Joe Rosenfield
Joe has been a part of AITP for the past 15 years. He has been in the Membership Director role for the past year working with our members to answer membership questions and encourage others to join our organization. This year, he will be building on this role to also track our student member numbers.
Awards Director: Ron Mathis
Ron has been an active member of the NEW AITP chapter for the past 10 years. Serving in multiple rolls on our board (Membership Director, Vice President and President), as well as holding the position of President of Region 5’s Board of Directors for 2015 & 2016, Ron also handles the Awards information for our NEW Chapter. Be sure to get him your 2015 participation information!
Sponsorship Director: Jeremiah School
Jeremiah is one of our young professionals serving on the board and has been a member for the past 3 years. Most recently he served in the role of Secretary and will this year be working with our chapter and event sponsors who will allow our chapter to provide our members with some great events in 2016.
Publicity Director: Chris Nimmer
Chris has been instrumental in our chapter and AITP many years and will celebrate 22 years with the organization in 2016. As Publicity Director he will inform our members and potential members the information they need to know about upcoming events, special member promotions and other opportunities.
Event Programs Director: Kevin Virobik
Kevin is our newest member on the Board, elected in November of 2015. He has been a member of AITP for 1 year and will be leading the Programs Committee to bring exciting and informative speakers to our events throughout the year. If you would like to join his committee, he’d be happy to have you!
Event Management Director & Webmaster: Carrie Drephal
Carrie has been a member of AITP for the past 6 years spending a good deal of that time in many roles on the Board. Most recently she worked in Events, Publicity and assisted in various other roles. She will again be leading the committee for the annual golf outing, handling details of upcoming events and she is working with Jay Esty and others to plan the conference AITP will be hosting in the Fall. Additionally, she will serve as the Central District Director on the Association Board of Directors.
