September 2016 President’s Message

Hello Everyone!

Summer has flown by and we’ve had a busy one. To recap, in June we held a Networking Social at Hagermeister’s in Green Bay. Our annual Sherry Anklam Memorial Golf Outing at Mid Vallee in July was a huge success and we even snuck in a members-only wine tasting event at Trout Springs Winery in Greenleaf. And in August, we had a great opening night to our CIO Spotlight series with Bemis Corporation’s CIO John Kreul as well as a NEW AITP Timber Rattler night at the ball park. And to top it off, the Timber Rattlers won!

The remainder of the year for the chapter will be equally as busy with monthly chapter speakers, chapter elections, special events and NEW AITP’s hosting of the Technology Hub Conference at the Paper Valley in Appleton on October 13th – an all day event with numerous opportunities for professional and personal growth. Our Region 5 Board and Leadership meetings will also be at the Paper Valley on October 14th –  a perfect opportunity to see your Region 5 representatives in action!

NEW AITP offers numerous quality program offerings to its membership and my Board of Directors work hard to make it all happen. We’re all volunteers and we take pride in the work we do. I would like to take this moment to thank them for all of their hard work. Thank you. Plus, I’d like to encourage our chapter members to contribute by volunteering, by serving on committees or running for the board at the NEW chapter and Region 5 levels. 2017 elections will soon be in progress. You’ll have great experiences and an impact on the growth of our organization.

And at the very least, please let us know what we can do for you; what you’d like to see; what you’d like to do. What added value can we bring to you?

I’m looking forward to a busy action-packed Fall for NEW AITP!

–Jay Esty, 2016 President.
